DMPT Application In Fish

DMPT Fish Additive

Dimethyl propiothetin (DMPT) is an algae metabolite. It is a natural sulfur-containing compound (thio betaine) and is considered as the best feed lure, for both fresh water and sea water aquatic animals. In several lab- and field tests DMPT comes out as the best feed inducing stimulant ever tested. DMPT not only improves feed intake, but also acts as a water soluble hormone-like substance. DMPT is the most effective methyl donor available, it enhances the ability to cope with stress associated with catch / transportation of fish and other aquatic animals.

This substance is silently being used by many bait companies.

Dosage direction, per kg dry mix:

In hookbait as an instant attractor, use around 0.7 – 2.5 gr per kg dry mix.

In soak/dip for hook bait and spod mixes we recommend around 5 gr per litre liquid.

DMPT can be used as an extra attractor alongside other additives. This is a very concentrated ingredient, using less is often better. If used too much the bait will not be taken!

Always use gloves, do not taste / ingest or inhale, keep away from eyes and children.
