Non-antibiotic feed additive potassium diformate
Potassium diformate (KDF, PDF) is the first non-antibiotic feed additive approved by the European Union to replace antibiotics. China’s Ministry of Agriculture approved it for pig feed in 2005.
Potassium Diformate is a white or yellowish crystalline powder, easily soluble in water, molecular weight: 130.13 and molecular formula : HCOOH.HCOOK. Its melting point is about 109℃. Potassium dicarboxylic acid is stable under acidic conditions and decomposes into potassium and formic acid under neutral or slightly alkaline conditions.
1. Reduce the pH value of gastrointestinal tract and improve the secretion of digestive enzymes.
2. Bacteriostasis and sterilization.
3. Improve the intestinal microflora.
4.Promotes intestinal health.
Potassium diformate can be widely used in pig, poultry and aquatic industry, and can completely replace antibiotics.
E.fine’s can inhibit bacteria and promote growth, and significantly reduce the content of many harmful bacteria in digestive tract. Improve digestive tract environment and reduce pH of stomach and small intestine. Prevention and control of piglet diarrhea. Improve palatability of feed and feed intake of animals. Improve the digestibility and absorption rate of nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus of piglets. Improve daily gain and feed conversion rate of pigs. Adding 0.3% to sow feed can prevent sow constipation. Effectively inhibit mold and other harmful ingredients in feed, prolong the shelf life of feed. Liquid potassium diformate can reduce the dust produced during feed processing and improve the appearance of products.
Application effect
1. Improve growth performance
Potassium diformate can significantly increase daily gain, feed conversion rate, decrease feed to meat ratio, and promote the growth of pig, poultry and aquatic products.
2. Control diarrhea of piglets
potassium carfolate can reduce diarrhea and effectively control the diarrhea rate of weaned piglets. Significantly reduce residual bacteria in feces.
3. Improve reproductive performance of sows
It can effectively improve milk yield and feed intake during lactation, reduce backfat loss of sows, improve feed conversion rate and raise litter efficiency.
4. Improve the structure of intestinal flora
Potassium diformate can significantly reduce the number of harmful microorganisms in intestinal tract, promote the growth of beneficial bacteria such as lactobacillus, and effectively improve the intestinal microecological environment.
5. Improve nutrient digestibility
Dietary potassium dicarboxylate can improve nutrient digestibility, especially crude protein digestibility of piglets
