DMPT – Product Mechanism and Function:
DMPT is a naturally occurring sulfur-containing active substance from seaweed. It serves as both an odor-eliciting and feeding-encouraging substance, and also acts as a methyl donor within the body.
1. Stimulate feeding and increase intake: Release characteristic sulfur-containing odors to stimulate the olfactory receptors of dogs and cats, improve the palatability of feed, and increase the intake of picky pets. Suitable for senior dogs and cats and those with decreased appetite during stress periods.
2. Enhance digestion and absorption: As a methyl donor, it promotes the secretion of digestive enzymes, increases feed conversion rate, and reduces nutritional waste.
3. Anti-stress: Alleviate the stress responses of pets caused by diet changes and environmental changes, and improve feeding conditions.
4. Improve flavor: Optimize the overall flavor of pet food, and partially replace some artificial flavoring components for feeding stimulation.
II. Application Scope:
It can be used for dog and cat complete feed, wet food, and pet snacks;
Main application: Fish, shrimp, crab and other aquatic feed; For pets, a preliminary assessment of palatability and tolerance should be conducted before use.
Ⅲ. Usage and Dosage
1. Complete feed for dogs and cats: Pure DMPT raw material at 50-150 mg/kg of complete feed (i.e., 50-150g per ton of feed), mixed uniformly for use.
2. Wet Pet Food/Can: The recommended lower limit is 50-80 mg/kg. Due to the high moisture content in wet food, DMPT is prone to deliquescence, so high doses are not advisable.
3. Pet treats: 30-100mg/kg, adjusted based on the treat matrix.
IV. Usage Instructions:
Pre-mix the carrier (corn starch, maltodextrin) to create a premix firstly, then add it to large quantities of feed to ensure uniform mixing.
Do not directly sprinkle or mix at high concentrations.
V. Precautions and Contraindications:
1. This product is acidic and must not be directly mixed with highly alkaline additives, as it may destroy the active ingredients.
2. Highly susceptible to moisture absorption. Use promptly after opening, and seal the remaining portion to prevent dampness. Do not use severely discolored or deteriorated materials due to moisture exposure in production.
3. Excessive addition is strictly prohibited, as high concentrations may suppress the appetite of dogs and cats, leading to refusal to eat.
4. For feed processing only; prohibited from direct feeding to pets in raw powder form.
5. Compatibility: It can be combined with amino acid appetizers (glycine, alanine) and betaine for synergistic effects.
Ⅵ. Safety Instructions:
Shelf Life: 12 months under unopened and compliant storage conditions.
Storage conditions: Seal, store in a cool, dry, and ventilated place, strictly prevent moisture, and avoid direct contact with alkaline materials
